Battista “Pinin” Farina. The Picasso of the automobile world.
Having designed some of the world’s finest automobiles, he had always dreamt of creating a car exquisite enough to bear his name.

Automotive Innovation & Design
On 22 May 1930, the "Società Anonima Carrozzeria Pinin Farina" is founded by Battista Farina, also known as "Pinin", and his brother Giovanni. At that time, the company is a small carriage-building workshop that builds customised carriages for wealthy car owners.
A few years later, the company has become a trend-setting reality, capable of delivering complete vehicle projects with a standard-defining technical quality. Pininfarina is the first company in the automotive industry to implement a scientific approach to aerodynamics.
After the Second World War, Pininfarina produces the first world-famous car in its history: the Cisitalia 202. It is the first car ever to enter a museum collection, in New York's MoMa.From that moment on, the Pininfarina name will resound around the globe.
From 1960 to 1970, many of the most iconic Pininfarina models were created: Alfa Romeo Spider "Duetto", Lancia Flaminia, Fiat "124 Sport Spider" and "Dino Spider".
As it progressed, always under the direction of a Pininfarina family member, the company designed hundreds of amazing cars. Among them are 65 Ferraris . But Battista's original dream of having a 100% Pininfarina car remained unfulfilled until 2018.
